DISABILITY RESPITE
Caregivers sacrifice their own health and wellbeing when they don’t account for their needs or take a break when necessary. Respite care can be a life-giving and life-sustaining solution for many families.
For disability respite service, I travel to your home to provide 24-hour in-home care for your family member while you're away-- for a quick weekend getaway or an extended period of a few weeks. You can schedule a one-time retreat or a recurring arrangement for ongoing respite support.
If we've never met, I'm happy to set up video chats or phone calls before booking to get to know one another and help with your family member's comfortability.
ELDERLY RESPITE
Elderly respite care allows you as family members and caregivers to take time away for rest and renewal, knowing your loved ones are in safe and caring hands-- hands which treat your elderly loved one with dignity and genuine care.
For elderly respite, I travel to their home and provide individualized 24-hour support of sharing daily life, attending to personal care needs with sensitivity and respect, and extending a listening ear and warm companionship.
I have experience (and am comfortable) with bedbound clients, incontinence needs, mobility supports and use of adaptive equipment such as wheelchairs (and beach wheelchairs- so cool!), walkers, transfers with gait belts, hoyer lifts, operating wheelchair accessible vans, managing medications, and more. I'm also open to learning new things!
TRAVEL COMPANION
Your loved one with a developmental or physical disability may desire to do some traveling, whether it's a vacation to Disneyland or a special trip to see a friend or family member in a different area.
As a travel companion, I accompany an individual on a trip from beginning to end, providing whatever level of support is needed. This can include but is not limited to round the clock safety and supervision, daily personal care, assisting with finances, and managing medications.
Traveling can encourage independence and foster more confidence, and there are endless enrichment opportunities possible, depending on the interests and hopes of each individual.
This service can also include comprehensive trip planning.

PET SITTING & HOUSE SITTING
Beyond personal care, I also offer dependable house sitting and pet sitting services to ensure your home and furry family are loved while you're away. (This is my sweet pal O'Malley, one of my regular clients in San Diego.)
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
I live in Colorado but am currently in San Diego every few weeks, so if you live in the area and need respite even just for a day or two, it's easy for me to extend my time there.
